Female prisoner Mosammat Shirin Akhter (prisoner no. 5593/A), has been serving a sentence of murder (section 302/34) since 21-03-2017. Inspired by the vision of keeping the prison safe, showing the path of light, Bangladesh Jail has taken various training courses to transform the hands of prisoners into workers, including Nakshi Kantha sewing and making flowers with needle and thread. The items made by the prisoners, such as Nakshi Kantha, bamboo wraps, brooms, towels, lungis, bedspreads, pen holders, tissue boxes and many other prison products, are sold at trade fairs and showrooms adjacent to the prison.  He deposited 50% of the proceeds from the sale into his personal PC (Prisoner Cash) account as the prisoner's remuneration, and due to family insecurity, he transferred 50,000 taka from that deposited amount to the lawyer for the purpose of handling the case.
